Call for PresentationS

ESO Wave 2027

Conference Dates: March 30 - April 1, 2027
Location: Austin, Texas (JW Marriott)

Wave 2027 is built around one idea: it takes a system. No single agency, department, or hospital gets its patients and communities from the worst moment of their life to the best possible outcome alone, and Wave 2027 is where that system tells its own story, organized around a simple cycle: Prevent, Prepare, Act, Improve.

We are now accepting proposals for breakout sessions across our fire, EMS, hospital, and government tracks. We welcome submissions that showcase:

  • Real patient or incident stories that trace a call across the full continuum, from the 911 call to the emergency department and back to the community.
  • First responder and clinician-led sessions where frontline staff describe, in their own words, how data or technology changed a specific shift or case.
  • Evidence-based research and quality improvement findings from fire, EMS, hospital, or registry data.
  • Practical applications of artificial intelligence (AI), predictive analytics, and mobile health already at work in the field.
  • Data governance and policy approaches from state and government offices navigating a shifting regulatory landscape.

Breakout sessions are 45 minutes. Proposals may include one or more presenters, and each organization may submit up to five proposals; multiple submissions are encouraged.

Each proposal should answer:

  • What are the objectives of the presentation?
  • What value will attendees gain by attending the presentation?
  • What actionable information will attendees be able to take home to their agency, department or organization?
